Tranquil Path is a 30-minute guided relaxation session inspired by 童蒙止觀 (Tóngméng Zhǐguān), “The Little Manual of Meditation,” the world’s first textbook on meditation, authored by the Chinese monk Zhiyi during the Sui Dynasty. This foundational text from the Tiantai school of Buddhism paved the way for various meditation practices worldwide. Tranquil path is an introduction session to meditation practice.
Tranquil path start with Zen walking meditation and followed by a standing breathing exercise and guided relaxation exercise before moving into seated meditation designed to help us relax our bodies and minds.
While we long to relax our bodies and minds, it’s important to realise this process isn’t an instant fix. Our bodies need time to relearn how to unwind and find peace amid the chaos. The one hour Tranquil Path experience emphasis the concept of 止(pause)and觀(observe), encouraging us to pause and focus inwardly observation, it is a starting point for reclaiming our creative and wise minds.
